As title, I am choosing appropriate distillation tower for my process design project. Now I am going to estimate the equipment cost, but I have no idea of the two kinds' characteristics. The pressure and temperature condition is at constant except one is 100 bar. Could anyone tell me that at high pressure, which one is more suitable, carbon steel of stainless steel? Thank you very much.

Material of Constuction is determined by corrosivity of the fluids, and by the mechanical design temperature, both maximum and minimum.

You can't separate any components by distillation at 100 bar.
