I'm in design the saddle support for methanol converter (pressure vessel, 51 bar), horizontal reactor. The diameter is 5.9 m and the length of reactor is 15 m. The total weight of the vessel (include baffle, tube, fluid) is 8062 kN. According to Coulson Chemical Engineering Vol. 6, the maximum vessel diameter and maximum weight state in the book is 3.6 m and 2500 kN. I can't get any other source for design saddle support for standard more than this, anyone can help?
