Dearest alls,
I just found that the potable water quality for hydrotest of Stainless Steel Tanks shall be "maximum 50 ppm of Chloride" in Appendix S of API 650 (Atmospheric Tank Standard). Is there any limitation of chloride content in hydrotest water for Carbon Steel material (such as SA-36 or SA-573-70) to be used in hydrotest? And what kind of "chemical or additive" shall be used to reduce the chloride in water?
Thank you for any response.
Best regards.
