Hi All,

We have an existing balanced bellow relief valve specified for vapour release and have got ‘Closed and Vented’ bonnet.

We have another conventional spring loaded relief valve specified for vapour release and have got ‘Closed’ bonnet.

My queries are:

  1. How to decide whether we need to closed or vented bonnet?
  2. How is it possible to have a bonnet specified as ‘Closed and Vented’?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

1- This is a requirement for ballanced bellows PSV having vented bonnet...

2- Bonnet can be closed (isolated from the atmosphere) and at the same time to be vented to the PSV discharge line...
