I am dealing with a PSV with size 8" x 10" x 10".

Generally 8" should be inlet line size and 10" outlet line size. What about 10" at centre ????

Moreover, how is the bore diameter calculated for the same, since API 526 does not mention anything about the same ....

Please help.

Hi,

It might be a set of rupture disk...with an expander at the inlet...?!

When you refered to full bore, i think of pilot operated valves and some POSRV have dual outlets, this could be the 10" x 10" in your question.

OK Thanks.

You are right there. It does have multiple outlet.

But question still stands that how do we calculate the bore area for such PSVs ?? ( Full BOre PSV ), since the same is not reflected in API 526 Table.

It shows area upto Bore Size " T " only.

Ashwani.
