Hi everyone,

Can anybody please illustrate the significance of "constant molar overflow" assumption in McCabe-Thiele method. In theory it is given that, this assumption requires to have the molar heats of vaporization of the feed components be equal. Why is it so?

What happens if this assumption is not valid?
