I have just finished my second year studying chemical engineering and I have my summer vacation right now. I am wondering if there are any extra courses beneficial to me as a future chemical engineer? something like a business course or a special computer course i could take this summer? Also I was wondering if AutoCAD is useful for chemical engineers?

but if you really like to do then do some course offered by AIchE which is free for undergrad student. though I will suggest you to do those after you have completed you third year at least.

. if you are interested in chemical engineering research then you can have some course in coursera. specially nano materials by Vicky colvin. or nano transport lecture by MIT in MIT open course.

Take it easy. There is a few interesting courses that you can take on the AIChE website that are free for students. A total of 9 courses on safety and in the field of Chemical Engineering. These courses are interesting and don't demand too much effort. Each course takes approximately 3 hours to complete and can give you a great idea why so much money and time is invested in safety in any facility. 

It it always a good addition to your resume, but mostly do it to understand why safety is so important.

Useful summer courses: typing, logic, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Visual Basic, foreign language.

Autocad might be useful, but that is what drafters are for.

A summer job in a technical field is also a big plus -- one week vacation is enough.
