Hello everybody,
I have purchased a vertical pump but because of the limitation of the height of the room the pump can't be installed vertically. Could anyone tell me that i can install the pump horizontally?
Thank you for help.

Ask the manufacturer of the pump.

For me it is not allowed. As you bought it already, you must installed it as per actual arrangement. If you installed it horizontally, the question that will be pop-up why do not consider horizontal pump during design?
Supposed during design, the mechanical piping designer shall consider the space for installation and also space for removing it for servicing etc.
Plus, how you going to support the motor weight?

If space is the constrain, try to fix a gear box (90 Deg. bevel geared of ratio 1:1) to connect the pump and drive. Check for the option to install the gear box. Also you have to ensure the proper basement for fixing motor and gear box.
