Hello,
I'm an industrial design student, and I need to build a one way valve, actually many one way valves for a project that I'm doing. Can anyone tell me how to do this ?
Thanks!
Iris

You might want to provide some additional information;

1.) the medium the system will be used for (which partly determines the material to be used and some design parameters)
2.) the sort of flow(s) you expect the system to have
3.) the pressures in the system (the bigger the pressure difference the sturdier the valve will have to be obviously, another factor for the choice of material)

Hi Adriaan,
Thanks for your reply smile.gif
In response to your questions -

1) The medium the system will work in is as follows : I want to have a tube that allows a flow of air into a tank that is full of water , without allowing the water to leave the tank.

2) The tank will contain 750 ml of water.

3) The valve should be able to open by a flow of air made by a simple air pump. This flow will go through the tube and into the water tank.

Thanks again for your help! Please let me know if you need any additional information.

IGallant:

You are going to design a "spring-return, push-to-open check valve"..
