Hi all,

 

I have designed a HP air system. System is designed at 250 bar air pressure. Air used in the system is not completely dry. I want to reduce 250 bar pressure to 50 bar and i am reducing this in a single step (using one pressure regulator). I am using TESCOM Pressure Regulator. Pressure reduction in a single causes "Freezing" in Pressure regulator. Can i avoid this Freezing? or i should use numbers of Pressure Regulators to reduce pressure from 250 to 50 bar. If pressure reduction is done in multiple stages, then how many pressure regulators i should use and whats the distance between each regulator?

Either dry it or heat it before reducing the pressure. Simple.

hi tribleprince, an important fact to keep in mind is the temperature at which the HP AIR, to analyze correctly that solution is the best. One option would be to use catalytic heaters in the same pipe line. Catco is a supplier of such equipment.
