Hello,
I'm dealing with a problem and I wish to get help.
I have a 20 m long stainless steel, 316 pipe, 1'' nominal diameter and the thickness is 1.6 mm.
Inside the pipe there is a fluid compound from mud (30 percent), diesel and oil, and it flows at 120 oC. The pipe should be insulated with pyrotex HLC (I asked for the thermal properties of it.)
I want that the outer surface of the insulator to be 40 oC and I want to know what will be the energy loss from the pipe with and without the insulation.
I'm struggling with this, and if someone can guide me how to solve it I will appreciate it.
Thanks!
