Hi guys,

So I'm currently designing a PFD which looks perfect at the moment in regards to all the mass balances and units like my batch reactors, centrifuge, ultrafiltration, cation exchange column etc....

Only problem i'm faced with currently is how to treat the waste coming out of the system.

I have a a stream with pichia pastoris, a stream with waste proteins and medium, elute waste, sublimated phosphate buffer. Does anyone have any knowledge on the best way to dispose of them safely?

Thanks for reading.

Waste treatment depends on the composition of the waste. RO can remove the dissolved chemicals from water.

Are you a student?  You write as if you are a teen, using the English word "So" to start a sentence.

If you are the owner or responsible person for the design and construction of a chemical process, why haven't you the service of an experienced chemical staff to oversee the type reactions you are proposing and the resultant products, waste, and compositions of all streams handled and discarded?  No one in his right mind would invest money on your claimed venture without sufficient capital, staff, and consulting on the specific process(es) being proposed - especially in Great Britain.

Please explain - in detail.  If our members are to give rational, intelligent and worthy advice, they need ALL of the real story.
