Hi,

 

I am trying to model heavy oil refinery in both Hysys 8.6 and Petro-sim.

I can import crude assays from several companies saved as excel file to Hysys.

 

But how can I import same crude assays in excel file to petro-sim

 

Or is it somehow possible to open hysys file in petro-sim

Yes. What I now so far is that I can download crude assays in excel or in pdf format. But in Petro-Sim I can import xml files.

So I tried to convert excel files to xml's but it did not work.

 

And also in Hysys 7.3 there is a way to save as your files in xml format, so you can open same file with Petro-Sim.

But in Hysys v8.6 there is no save as option in xml format.

 

So I could not figure out how to solve this issue.

 

What I want to do is to import and model same crude assay in both softwares.
