A water cooled duct is to be designed for cooling off gases (air) at 50000 Nm3/h from 1200 deg C The inlet temperature of cooling water is 50 and outlet is 75 deg C. The tubes are 4m long with OD60.3mm and thk 5.5 mm. The flow of water may be assumed as cocurrent. What is the flow of cooling water required and outlet temperature of the gas? Please share the calculation technique (Result - water required is 50 m3/h).
