The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency published a report: "Design Information on Rotating Biological Contactors", EPA/600/2-84/106, 1984. If you can obtain a copy, it has some very useful information.

A rotating biological contactor (referred to as RBC) is a fairly well-proven method for biological treatment of wastes. Here are online websites you should find quite useful:

http://www.usfilter....2EDDC/0/RBC.pdf
http://www.state.sd..../design-10.html
http://ewr.cee.vt.ed...roup13/rbc.html

If you do a Google search on the phrase "Rotating biological", you will many others sites that are useful.
