We have mol sieve adsorber beds for the dehydration of natural gas in one of our LPG cryogenic plant; the issue that we are facing is the high amount of dust at the downstream of dust filter installed after the dehydration adsorber.  The dust filter is designed to remove 100% of all solid particles up to  3 micron or lager and 99%  of .5~ 3 micron in size.

But the thing that is more confusing is the retaining of this dust on a strainer installed after it which is designed to remove 177 micron size particle.

We have already ensured the size of cartridge installed in dust filter and the mechanical integrity of the filter housing for any infiltration but no such evidence were found.

Can anyone please provide guidance in sorting out the issue of high dust and its infiltration through dust filter?

We can't help much without a P&ID.
