Hi

 

I want to convert the unit of methane from L to m3. This methane is an end product of anaerobic digestion.

 

Can I simply divide the liters with 1000 to get it in m3?

I found it useful to collect conversion factors on letter size paper in a three-ring binder. I have some from 35 years ago that I still refer to frequently. I also use the internet which is often handy. See the link below:

You should strive to understand the more basic issue you have, i.e. how to do unit conversions.  Google "how to do unit conversions".

Please be more explicit about your problem?

By definition a liter is 1/1000 of a cubic meter.

Are you changing the reference conditions when you convert from liter to cubic meter? (as in Nm3 of natural gas to liters of GNL)

Are the liters of digester gas to be converted to cubic meters of natural gas at a specific heating value?
