Hello All,

I am trying to find information on the adsorption rate of molecular sieves (13X 4x8-mesh) when sitting in open air at ambient conditions (73F, 35% RH in my setting).

Or in other words, how long can I let my molecular sieve be exposed to open air before it is compromised? And to what extent is it compromised? Will the sieve reach water equilibrium in 6 hours? 24 hours? Never?

I can't seem to find any information on this. I think the adsorption rate would be fairly slow if the sieve is sitting in relatively still air and contained in either a drum or other cylindrical container with inlet/outlet ports open to atmosphere.

I'm not looking for detailed calculations here (you can do them if you'd like), but I'm interested in some idea of the time it takes to lose 25% of its water capacity, 50%, 75%...
