Dear All

Using OLGA steady state fonction to perform simulation of multiphase pipeline (oil gas and water). the model required to dividing the line into 50 segments corresponding to the changes in elevation of the pipeline profile. The Peng-Robinson equation of state calculated thermodynamic properties.

The same configuration was used in Pipesim software

The Beggs-Brill correlation predicted pressure drop in Pipesim, with total pressure drop  equal to the summation of friction loss , elevation change and velocity change.

The simulations results displayed a similar overall pattern but a large difference in the results was shown in term of Pressure Drop through the pipeline

Can you explain please the origine of this difference between the two softwares ???*

Thanks

The professionals use OLGA. No pipeline designer would consider using PIPESIM.
