hi dear members

do you know how can i simulate (( saturator tower)) in hysys??

i want to saturate sweet natural gas with water and condensate streams.

im working on methanol production process simulation. its relative to reforming step.

the saturator tower has shown in picture.

do you mean to calculate vapor composition including water and other components in vapor phase at specified operating conditions ?

with a different software (Prode Properties) I simply add a vapor liquid separator and get the saturated vapor stream,

you can do the same with Aspen or use the specific operation (many threads discussing this),

take care to select the correct thermodynamic model as several components as water and methanol can show non-ideal behavior

(with Prode I select a EOS with complex mixing rules, for example Peng Robinson - NRTL with Huron Vidal or Michelsen rules)
