I am looking for help/equations to solve the following problem. What is the temperature and pressure increase in a sealed pressure vessel if steam injection is used for heating? Assume perfect insulation so no heat losses. Thanks. Zdog

in some cases you can write a simple procedure (based, for example, on ideal behaviour of fluids and not considering phase equilibria problem) ,

but, in general, you should solve P , T for V (fixed volume) and H (Energy balance),

for pure fluids maybe a Mollier chart or a similar tool will allow to solve the problem,

for mixtures (including phase equilibria) I prefer a software,

usually Excel + Prode Properties,

of course if you have access to some simulator you may use that.
