Dear everyone,
I am currently doing a research about the synthesis of Dl-methionine, also known as 2-amino-4-(methylthio)butyric acid. The raw materials given are acrolein, methylmercaptan, methanol, hydrogen cyanide and ammonium carbonate. I have to study in detail about the kinetics and mechanism of the synthesis. I have tried to find informations from journals and books. But, i could not get it. I hope anyone who have any information would able to share with me the knowledga. Thank you.
