We are trying to optimize our catalyst reactor by operating it at lower tempeature than it is designed for, this is being done with the consent of the catalyst manufacturer
However there is a concecrn from our side that by operating the catalyst at a lower temperature, are we loading the catalyst more. this is because it is giving almost same performance (Complete reaction) but now at a lower temperature meaning that the catalyst must be over performing to achieve the same performance as before.
If above assumption is true, then the life of the catalyst would also get shorten due over stressing it?
Also what are the factors that reduce the catalyst age/activity apart from the thermal stress, pressure variations, coking and mechanical damages.
