Hi all,
If rupture disc is sized for the Gas / Vapor service, but due to some requirement, same rupture disc is being installed on the the liquid service. How the burst pressure will change?
Original design of rupture disc for Gas condition : - Temperature - 92°C , Mol Wgt - 34.7 kg/kmol, Burst pressure 8.0 kg/cm2g.
New liquid condition : - Temperature - 35°C , Density 994 kg/m3 , what will be Burst pressure ?
Directly what will happen, burst pressure will increase or decrease?
Can i get some relation or any other source to understand the effect on bursting pressure due to change in the fluid conditions?
Thanks.
