Hello.

Can I use below formula to evaluate heat losses through cold insulation?

Q = kA ((T1-T2)/L)

k - thermal conductivity

A - area

T1 - temperature inside equippment

T2 - temperature of the insulation external surface

L - insulation thickness

Process temperature in the equippment is: - 20°C.

Unfortunately I do not know the temperature of the external wall of the equippment (under insulation).

In the conservative side, just assume T2 = Ambient Temperature
