Hi,

Could someone please suggest cost effective phosphate treatment of cooling tower blow down for 100 m3/hr.
Industry is fertilizer.

RO being an expensive option some cost effective solution is desired.

Thanks and Regards

Hello Meer,

Perhaps you could share with readers the purpose of the CW blowdown treatment, for example is it to allow you to then reuse it somewhere?

Hi,
Thanks Dazzler.

Yes, preferably to be recycled as make up water for CT.
Otherwise should be good enough to be used for horticulture.

You may find pointers in the link above !

Do you have energy available ?  Just thinking about freezing the water ( cooling separation ) or distillation !!

my 2 cents

Electrolytic treatment? Its gaining popularity nowadays. Although many vendors give it different names and makes it confusing for many end users. The general names are water electrolysis, electro chemical treatment, electro oxidation, electro chlorination etc, which actually all mean the same thing.

Most vendors call it as a type of chemical free cooling tower treatment

Or the more conventional way would be by EDR.
