Hi sir,

I just joined as a trainee and we are designing 5000kl storage tank,it will be according to API 650.
But the problem is bottom plate thickness calculation,in API 650 THEY JUST mentioned minimum plate thickness,if we go for higher capacity tanks I don't think so it's enough.
Please give me some clearance.

Atmospheric tank
D- 21 m
H- 15.8 m


And also suggest me about the freeboard height
