Hi,
I'm trying to figure out a prelab, and I am confused about the use and purpose of surfactants in the distillation process. I understand what they are and what some examples of surfactants are, but I'm having a hard time connecting the definition to their actual function in the distillation process. If any one could provide an explanation, I would greatly appreciate it.
