Hi Everyone,
I am interested to know more about the packing studies performed for capacity upgrades of existing brownfield flare systems using dynamic flare system analysis softwares. Any available material/views/information?
Thanks

PSE uses their own gflare software to dynamically model depressurisation to show the packing effect in the flare.
I have seen results using HYSYS dynamic, modelling the upstream vessels, BDV and flare piping etc, though i think aspentech cautions this method - but for packing it should be sufficient.
Sadly i can't find any material, i have seen a few webinars from PSE showing how the dynamic modelling/packing effect removed the need to do flare upgrades.
