Could someone explain me the term of Gas Hourly Space Velocity (GHSV)??
Thank you in advance!

It is the time necessary to process one reactor volume of fluid.

Although you are correct, I have never before, ( in 50+ years), seen it defined as such. I would base it on catalyst volume. I am sure that this is what you intended.

That's because we are from different technologies. The uncatalyzed volume in a vessel is not part of the reactor volume in a catalyzed reaction. My years of experience is with un-catalyzed reactions. We use liquid initiators in a liquid phase reaction and the reactor volume is the liquid volume. Initiators are not a catalyst. So, I had no intent of answering from a catalyst perspective, but it worked out. Whatever the important volume is to the reaction, it's the time necessary to process one "reactor" volume of fluid.

One additional point is that the gas volume is normally stated at standard conditions, whatever the standard condition is, but not the actual gas flow condition.
