We have a intermedium tank. We need to make the tank vacuum for some products when the tank is still containing products.

When we start the vacuum pump, at the first couple of minutes, the tank pressure always drops too fast which causes server flash.

Any suggestions or advises?

Vacuum pump is liquid ring pump. A control valve is between the knock out vessel outlet and pump suction line.

Control valve is driven by the pressure inside the tank.

Hi ,

You are supposed to get only non condensable material or inert through your vacuum pump !

Did you consider to install a condenser in between the tank and the pump ?

Sorry, forgot to mention, we do have a condenser upstream the vacuum pump. 

But flash is too much when the vacuum pump just starts. condenser is not able to condense it.

Is it a new problem or since the beginning of this operation ?

 

BTW why don't you change the set point of the vacuum  at the beginning  and gradually decresase it ? 

 

note : Probably good to check the control valve and to tune the parameters  of the controler , talk to your  E&I engineer .
