Hi everyone,
One of our great customer is PVC Plant. As informed by them, they apply three way valve in their special suspended reactor. Till now, I'm still confusing about it's function as reactant or other utilization during reaction taking place.
I've also already search this topic in Perry, but no satisfied information about this equipment found out.
If you all have some explanation or any book which I could take as our reference reagrding about this topic, please inform to me at:
wolly_rendra@yahoo.com or in this forum

thanks for all your kind replies baout this topic

Mabrur:

You don't state if you're referring to a manual valve or a control valve. I'm going to assume you mean a 3-way control valve.

The Fisher book is available for FREE as a .pdf file (Adobe Acrobat) on the Fisher website:

http://www.documenta.../book/cvh99.pdf

I recommend that you download the file for your future daily use as follows: (the above URL takes you there, but you can't save the file). Instead,

1. Go to http://www.documenta...query_page.hcst

2. Do a “search” for “control valves”

3. You will get a listing of information that you can't imagine! And you will find the Control Valve Handbook in that listing also. Right click on the subject Handbook hyperlink and choose “Save as” and the rest is your engineering property in the Hard drive folder of your choice.

For your further engineering strength and know-how, read and study this information with the assurance that it will open up and shed light on areas of process control that you may have never even thought you would dominate. This information is pivotal to giving you the confidence and assurance that you can control virtually any fluid process with simple knowledge and know-how. This stuff was never taught in university in my time and I doubt that it is being taught today either. There simply is not enough curriculum time or hands-on, experienced profs.

With this information in hand, you will have the answer to your query by going into page 21 of the Control Valve Handbook where you should find a section clearly explaining the 3-way control valve.

I have gone into all this detail not only to answer your specific question, but also to aid or assist those other readers who are unaware of this valuable and free engineering information that is at their fingertips. I hope this helps you out and that you profit from the experience of digesting all the information found in the Fisher Control Valve Handbook.
