The propose of this system is to recover the CO2 from a batch reactor every 6-7 hours. The reactor is filled with CO2 at 120 PSI, industrial grade CO2, I will need to empty the reactor within 30-60 min, compress or liquify the CO2, and store it for the next batch.

It seems to me that storage temperature is an important consideration here. CO2's critical temperature is about 30 C. If the storage temperature can be higher than that (say in an outdoor environment where there would be no temperature control), then there is no point in considering deliberately liquifying the CO2, as it will not stay liquified if it can rise above 30 C. On the other hand, if it is in a temperature controlled environment so that it can never rise above something like 20 C, then there could be very real value to compressing it above the saturation pressure so that it will condense into a liquid.
