What temperature measurement device would be used to measure water temperature in a tank at atmospheric pressure? Would a thermocouple work? If so, could that one be grounded or would the water cause electrical interference with the water? If that doesn't work, does a thermowell have to be used?

I've used thermocouples (ungrounded sheath) in similar applications. Most if not all suppliers can offer both sheathed and unsheathed versions, where you would choose an ungrounded sheathed version when you need electrical isolation. https://www.instrume...industrial.html

Good Day
We use thermowell for all applications. The head has an assembly that no let water going into the electrical wire
