I have a stream that contains 99% Methyl Isobutyl Ketone and 1% Phenol after undergoing a liquid-liquid extraction process. What is the easiest way to recover and treat the solvent (MIBK) so that I can recycle it back to the liquid-liquid extraction process? Usually I use steam stripping to achieve the solvent recovery, but since phenol has a higher boiling point than the MIBK I am having a hard time trying to find a way to achieve that.
