I am searching for positions of heat recovery in high temperature gas 300-1000C range.  I have been working with Gas Turbines, Thermal energy storage and several high temperature fuel cell processes and wanted to see what else fits in this range.  I know there are more out there but have not found an easy way to search for them and thought someone on here might have some insight.

Quantity matters when you have to justify capital equipment for energy recovery. The temperature range is similar to what you might see in flue gas from a steam-methane reformer or an olefins cracking furnace. Heat recovery in that equipment goes toward generating superheated steam at high pressure, heating boiler feedwater, heating reactant streams, heating fuel. You might search for topics like 'efficiency of process furnaces', 'steam boiler efficiency', 'flue gas heat recovery'.

Thank you the feedback is great,  We have looked into some of those but do not have experience in high pressure boilers so some of them won't fit.  I will look into it more and use the phrases you suggested.  We have found some very interesting applications in Externally fired gas turbine service which could take any high heat source and with a Heat exchanger use it to drive a gas turbine and generate power.  I think the issue that plagues this application is the cost per kW since at those temperatures the heat exchanger and materials are very expensive.  I hope to see more of them go forward.  We were halfway through a development project to use dirty gas on the hot side to drive the energy but had to put a pause on the project due to covid.
