i have seen pressure being specified as in WC for some atm / low pr storage tank

how do we convert this into psig for e.g.

below conversion are from wiki....is the 0.036 lb/in2 in gauge pressure or 0.036 psig?

1 inH2

= 248.84 pascals [3]

= 2.4884 mbar or hectopascals

= 2.54 cmH2O

≈ 0.0024558598569 atm

≈ 1.86645349124 torr or mmHg

≈ 0.0734824209149 inHg

≈ 0.0360911906567 lbf/in2

The conversion factor from Wiki is in terms of differential pressure (psi). The conversion to psig will depend on whether your pressure reference is from total vacuum or atmospheric pressure. See https://www.convertu... column/to/psig for a simple explanation.
