Hello,
I am having a problem do adjust gas and liquid std flowrates in Pro II.
I have to adjust gas and liquid hydrocarbon components in equilibrium at specific conditions. To do so, I use a flash and the control unit to adjust inlet flowrate so that the liquid flow rate is what I want at std conditions.
I then create a stream with the same composition of the gas output of the flash. Does anyone know how can I set the flowrate of this stream to be let´s say 100,000 stdm3/d? I cannot use the control unit because it gives an error saying that I am trying to adjust the stream flowrate by adjusting the stream itself and the only option to adjust flowrates is in kgmol/h?
Ps: I am aware that I can change input configurations of the stream to be m3/h of gas or liquid, kg/h, etc.. But by doing that I would change for all streams, which is not interesting as well. I´d like to be able to adjust each stream separately by its gas or liquid flowrates at std conditions.

Your problem can be easily resolved. Use the resources that are already paid for and provided to you: https://www.aveva.co...success/simsci/
This is likely not the only difficulty you will have with simulation software. It is useful to go to professionals who specialize in the software product, have a vested interest in making you satisfied, are easy to access quickly, and require no additional payment when you ask them questions. It is a system than works really well for the software user when tried. You might get the specific answer in this forum, but your question would be a great introduction to a lifetime of technical support from the vendor.

Please follow following steps,
1. Put your initial stream flow higher than required.
2. Use splitter
3. Control split fraction to get desired outlet stream flow
Hope this will help.
