Dear members,

I want to calculate sustainability/greenness of batch distillation of oil process. Can anyone guide me how can I perform that in a simple way. I looked into literature but I found a bunch of complex equation which I couldn't understand very well.

As far as I can tell, sustainability and greenness do not have quantifiable, universal definitions. Find out from those who have a stake in your calculations what would be an acceptable form of results for comparison with other processes.

Could you suggest any procedure on how to perform exegetic analysis of batch unit for distillation of pyrolysis oil

I tried to perform exegetic analysis of your last post but was unsuccessful. Eisegesis suggests you may be trying to quantify process efficiency. If so, perhaps determine the energy use of distillation at theoretical minimum reflux (infinite stages) as a base case. If you explain more fully your assignment and what you have done to fulfill the requirements, you may get relevant suggestions.
