Dear Members.

We have vacuum dryer in diesel hydrotreating unit. We separate oil and water in vacuum hotwell drum.

And the condesned oil is discharged by pumps to slop oil tank.

About 3 months ago, we had hydraulic limit in this oil line. (the lenght of line is about 200m)

We could find out so many fouling material which is iron. So we had to clean up this pipe by water jet. After cleaning up, we could clear hydraulic limit.

But we suffer from same problem now.

When we checked the thickness of this slop oil pipe, couldn't find any thickness reduction.

I think it means, some fouling material comes from upstream of slop oil pumps.

Is there any member who had similar problem?

What do you think the root cause of this fouling issue. (Air intake? H2S Slip in upstream stripper??)
