I simulated the transient process by aspen hysys dynamic simulation (charge tank).

The simulation assumptions are made as follows.

1. Initial condition of tank: Nitrogen 450'C, 0.5m^3, 0.1MPa

2. Boundary condition 1: Nitrogen 450'C, 10 MPa

3. opening percentage of Valve V2 and  valve V3 are always 0 %

I would like to see how the temperature of the tank rises when the pressure in the tank meets 10 MPa when nitrogen is supplied to the tank at 10 MPa and 450'C.

I thought that the temperature of the tank would increase significantly (because there is no mass flow out from the tank) due to the increased internal energy inside the tank.

However, there was a strange result: the temperature of the tank goes up and down (the heat loss model for the tank is "none").

How can we explain this result?

1. make sure that PV work term option selected, it affects the temperature a lot.

2. monitoring all your in&out stream, if there is no heat loss (you confirmed), then only reason is the reverse flow happens always.
