Hi everyone,

I am working on a simulation of a combined steam-gas cycle using ASPEN HYSYS.

the problem is that I have to divide the work produced by the turbine in two parts, the first one will drive the compressor and the second one to make the generator (alternator) work.

So my question is how to define an electrical energy (if possible, the net work "W net" =total work produced by the turbine minus work used by the compressor) and how to divide the work of the turbine.

Thanks in advance.gggggggg_1.png

Why would you want to do this? Information is readily available for gas turbine net output.

Thank you for your answer.

I did not set the net power (W net) produced by the turbine.

The "W_turbine" do not take in consideration the power used by the compressor.

So am asking how to set the net power of the gas turbine which is equal to "W turbine minus the power used by the compressor (W c) "
