Compressor Load Sharing Issue

We have 3 natural gas compressors in our system. However we sometimes use 2 compressors when demand is low
Our issue is when we have two compressors operating and one compressor shuts down, the other compressor load decreases gradually resulting in the shutdown of the second compressor too. Any idea why this could happen

What you described makes no sense. What do you refer to as "load"?

In critical gas compression systems, you must have a spare unit... It is your case, search for more information.. it is too weak to said something,
