Hi

 

I am working on designing an ethylene plant using ethane feedstock. (Production capacity: 3.2 million Tonnes)

 

After ethane is cracked in the furnace - the off-cracked stream need acid gas scrubbing (removal of CO2 and H2S) prior to distillation. What is the best equipment for acid gas scrubbing???, Initially I intended to use a Caustic tower however, I have read a lot about issue with foaming in caustic towers, is there a better alternative ??
