Hi,
In an exercise we were given some Residence Time Distribution data for a CSTR. And given some parameters we were asked to determine the ideal conversion of this reactor, and the real conversion using a segregation model. The segregation model resulted in a higher conversion than the ideal CSTR, how is that possible? Are there any reasonable explanations for a "real" CSTR achieving a higher conversion than an ideal one?
Thanks!
