Hello everyone ,I would like to know that what is the effect if we done sudden cooling in MS glass lined reactor for example we have to cool reaction mass from 155 deg c to 30 deg c ? Is there any effect on glr glass due thermal shocks? And if we have to do ? Then what is the procedure?

It depends which glass is used in the GLR. Here is a De Dietrich article, https://www.ddpsinc....m-thermal-shock .

HI,

Similar document with some examples:

NB : Probably good to talk to reputable manufacturers (De Dietrich/Pfaudler/local)

Then what is the procedure?

Depends on reactor design and quality, you should consult a reactor operating manual. As I remember for reactor 6m3 cooling/heating rate was no more 1°C per 1 min. Also see ISO 28721-3 for details.
