In Process Design, What Are The Criteria When Deciding Whether To Recirculate an Unreacted Reagent? *

 

One colud be if the reactor conversion is low, right?

But what other criteria should be considered to decide if it is possible, safe and convenient to recycle a reagent?

Maybe stability, ease of separation?

 

If possible, I would like you to mention the bibliographical sources on which you base your answer, please.

Hi,

Could be safety reason like risk of runaway reaction due to exotherm.
