Hi everyone,
I'm working on design of a catalytic reforming unit project.
There is a heat recovery steam generation from fired heaters of reforming reactors.
In preliminary design, two water circulation has been considered for circulation water from disengaging drum through stack of fired heater then back to drum.
Owner requested to reconsider the design so that it is possible to remove circulation pumps.
currently elevation of drum is 12m and elevation of steam generation section of fired heater is from 15m to 20 m.
I'm seeking related guideline or design practice for this system , for example as I know there are some considerations for example rate of circulation should be 15 times more than steam generation rate. I'm seeking some guidelines for these considerations to do hydraulic calculations for a natural circulation.
Please guide me if anyone has related experience.
