dear all,

Please clarify in real operation is there any continuous flow from pump even after pump stops , if there is pressure difference available across the pump after trip/stop. For example pump suction has 3 barg & its discharge pressure is lower than suction pressure after trip.

thanks, stu

Such event is possible. You should provide a hydraulic study of this system to find the answer.

Hi,

Yes, it's possible in a pump with mentioned conditions, but it would be no longer a pump and converts to a water turbines!
