Hey everyone!

I'm trying to simulate a single tube heat exchanger on Aspen Hysys by using the heat exchanger model, but because this exchanger is very particular - only one tube, no pitch, no baffles - it doesn't work with aspen's model, since it asks for all these parameters.

Does anyone have any idea how I can simulate a single tube heat exchanger on Aspen Hysys?

Thank you!

Are you trying to model/size a double pipe heat exchanger?  If so, use those terms for a search here and on the www.  I recall seeing threads to model/size double pipe heat exchanger here and other places.

Transfer data from Hysys to EDR, simulate double pipe HE in EDR, attach this EDR file to rigorous HE relevant block in Hysys and enjoy rigorous modelling of a particular DPHE in Hysys
